Iced Chai Tea recipe

ingrediens

  • 4 lon4 to 6 Chai-flavored unsweetened tea bags*
  • g cinnamon sticks for stirrers (optional)
  • Ground cinnamon, for dusting
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 8 ice cubes
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1/4 teaspoon coconut extract
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • granular sugar substitute to taste
  • 3 tablespoons sugar free vanilla syrup

prepration

Combine tea bags, cardamom and boiling water in a large glass measuring cup or teapot; steep according to package directions, about 5 minutes. Remove tea bags, pressing well to extract tea; discard bags. Refrigerate mixture until well chilled, at least an hour.
Place tea in a blender along with cream, syrup, sugar substitute, coconut extract and ice cubes. Blend until smooth. Pour into two tall glasses, dust with ground cinnamon and serve with cinnamon sticks.
