Double-Chocolate Express Smoothie recipe

ingredients

  • Cocoa powder or sugar-free chocolate syrup, for garnish
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 4 ice cubes
  • 3 tablespoons half-and-half
  • 3/4 teaspoon decaffeinated espresso powder (or decaffeinated instant coffee granules)
  • 1 1/2 scoops (3 tablespoons) chocolate protein shake mix
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder

prepration

  • Combine the water, half-and-half, shake mix, cocoa and espresso powders in a blender; blend until smooth.
  • With the machine running, add the ice cubes, one at a time, and blend until smooth. Pour into a tall glass, and garnish with a dusting of cocoa powder or drizzle with sugar-free chocolate syrup, if desired. Serve immediately.
